Where I’ve Been

I was born and raised right here in Miami, Florida.  I’m 23 years old, and have spent the majority of those years attaining knowledge and experience related to developing business website applications.  I attended the University of Miami, and graduated the class of 2008 with a Bachelors’ degree.  I grew up with a love for technology and what was possible with it.  I started building computers when I was a teenager and loved figuring out how to optimize the clock speed to get the most power when playing online games. I  enjoyed taking on the challenge of learning the inner workings and designs of computers for any task.  During college, all it took was one class in computer programming – I was hooked.  I found myself looking for ways to further my IT-based education.  That’s where the fun started.  At the end of 2008, I officially kicked off my web development company.  And that’s how I got to where I am right now…

Where I Am

I’m currently a student at Nova Southeastern University, working on my Masters’ degree with a concentration on information technology.  Give me anything tech related, and not only will I enjoy it, but I’ll find a way to work with it.  I’ve taken certification courses in addition to my degree to further my fluency in a variety of computer languages, to improve my understanding of even the latest gadget craze.

I pride myself on my ability to work on a range of projects – any size, any shape, anywhere.  From fitness affiliate sites to eCommerce travel sites, I’ve had the astounding pleasure of working with people from all over the country… and even around the world!  My clientele includes people and projects located in Mexico, India, and even Brazil.  This has allowed me opportunity to experience so many different aspects of development; this is why I can work for an array of different types of industries.  Freelancing while working on my Masters’ has been the key to this.

Every project I tackle is new in its own way, encouraging me to work various solutions to a variety of problems that can arise due to any factor.  I suggest newbies try their first year of real work experience as a freelancer.  It gives you a true sense of the business landscape; it allows you to improve your interaction abilities and people skills – not just in reference to clients or coworkers.  So with all these exciting opportunities spread out before me, you may be asking yourself, “what’s next?”

Where I’m Going

My love of the web, its development, and new technology will push me to continue to absorb anything I can related to programming and the internet.  I will complete my degree, but I will never stop learning.
