I have developed a PHP script that allows you to shorten links on your own website. It is easy to apply CSS to and is very light-weight.

You can install it on your own server and create brand recognition on sites like twitter etc…

When you install this script on your domain you will not need to use the /shorturl/ directory, thus your links will be even shorter.
